Amazing!  That is exactly what we have to say about your children!  WE had an incredibly busy week with preparing for our PBL presentations for Thursday.  Our panelist were from the Denver Zoo, Butterfly Pavilion, Pollinator Network, CSU Extension Master Gardeners, and a STEM Parent for a total of 8 adults listening to your children and their incredible ideas of how to get more plants in the area to increase the number of pollinators!  Such a proud moment and they just looked so great yesterday too!  Thank you to all!

We made and painted our sugar skulls with Ms. Geerdes and the 6th graders this week!  They are on display in the case right before going out the doors by the playground!  Come and take a look!  Also, they made paper picados and they are hung in the hallway by 1st and 2nd grade!  Also, they made paper flowers to attach to the archway that they will pretend fly through with their handmade monarch wings and antennas on Monday morning around 10:35 am. We will be sure to take a lot of pictures and display them also! Thank you again to all who have helped to make this happen! We truly appreciate it!

Reminder that on Monday, Oct. 31st that the morning will be normal as scheduled until the 10:35 timeframe.  Then the afternoon from 1:15-2:45 the parents (you) have put together stations about Dia De Los Muertos.  The children may wear their costumes only at that time if they choose.  However, Friday, Oct. 28th is our Trunk or Treat where they can wear their costumes too.

Next week, we will begin learning about Fables, Tall Tales, and Fairy Tales. This will include a play that the students will put on for you!  We will tentatively planning this to be November 17th at 6:00 pm in the commons.  We will have parts for all students but some parts they will have to try out for.  We do try our very best to make sure that the students know that we will also have another play in the spring about conservation and if they don’t get a speaking part this time we will make sure it happens in the spring. All children will participate through, song, drums, speaking, etc.
