Battle of the Books (6th-8th)

What:  Battle of the Books

When:  Mondays 9/8-3/30 (EXCLUDING 10/6) from 12:33pm-1:08pm (during MS lunch)

              Dates for after school competition practice: After school practices will be held from 3:15-4:30 in Teacher McDaniel’s room- April                                  4/6, 4/20, 4/27.  The Adams 12 Middle School district competition is tentatively scheduled for May 6 from 5:00-8:00 at Century Middle                      School. 

Where:  Teacher McDaniel's room #J125 (Ms. Herd will be there too!)

Why:  Battle of the Books is a reading and academic team competition where students read a list of designated books and then compete in a trivia-style contest about the books' content. The program aims to encourage independent reading, expand students' interests, promote teamwork and collaboration, and improve reading comprehension and academic skills. 

How:  No sign up needed, students may drop in.
