What:  Taiko

When:  Fall Session- Tuesdays 9/15-11/17 from 7:15am-7:50am.  Fall Performance Wednesday 11/18  6:30-7:30pm.  

              Spring Session- Tuesdays 3/2-4/27 from 7:15am-7:50am.  Spring Performance Wednesday 4/28 6:30-7:30pm.

Where:  Room #D102 and #D105 with Mrs. Kappler and Mr. O'Connor. 

Why:  Taiko is a drumming ensemble that teaches musical traditions from Japanese American heritage. We play drums of many sizes in different standing and sitting positions. Taiko combines powerful rhythms and choreography to create a performance that is just as fun to watch as it is to hear.

*Taiko is an auditioned group that allows 24 students to join.  Our first meeting will be the audition and results will be communicated to families via email.
