K-5 Assessment Day Sign Up and Info

Dear K-5 Parents of Students Assigned to a STEM Lab Teacher,

We hope this letter finds you and your family healthy, well rested and ready for the second semester of school. We know this school year has been challenging but we are still confident that our STEM-sters are growing and learning. In order to measure student growth and for teachers to gain an understanding of students’ reading competencies and use the information gained to plan whole group and small group instruction, we will be assessing all K-5 students on either January 14 or January 15. **If your remote student is assigned to a partner school, the partner school/teacher will reach out to you for the Assessment Day/time details.**

Please use your teacher’s Sign Up Genius below to sign your child up for ONE of the following 1-hour assessment blocks:

SAFETY GUIDELINES/MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS

Your child will come to school to take in-person assessments during their selected block.

Every student needs to bring their charged device and charger to school as well as headphones.

All students entering the school will need to review this home health screen prior to arriving and have temperatures checked and hands sanitized at the door. If your child has any symptoms please keep your child home and contact your child's teacher.

All students must wear a fitted multi layered mask (no gaiters). We encourage students to bring a filled water bottle as well as we can not have students drinking directly from the water fountains.

Students will be in small groups and will stay socially distanced at all times.

K-5 SCHOOL SCHEDULE FOR ASSESSMENT DAYS

Thursday, 1/14: 8:10-11:00 am- Synchronous learning as normal w/ virtual meetings

11:00 am-3:20 pm- Asynchronous learning (NO virtual meetings)

Friday, 1/15: 8:10 am-3:20 pm- Asynchronous learning (NO virtual meetings)

When students are not at school for their assessment block, they will work on their Schoology assignments independently at home.

For those unfamiliar with our campus, please click here for a map of the building which identifies the grade level pick up and drop off locations.
Due to the tight assessment schedule, it is extremely important that drop off and pick up occur on time!
If you are late dropping your child off, please enter at the main entrance by the front office.
If you are late picking your child up, please come to the front office- your child will be waiting for you there.
