The Adams 12 Student and Family Outreach Program is a support program created to match available community resources with students and families in need. The resources provided include but are not limited to Health Insurance, Homeless Assistance, Migrant Education, Title VII Indian Education and more. Please visit the district website for more information about the Adams 12 Student and Family Outreach Program. If your family or a family you are referring needs help applying for one of the provided resources please complete the Outreach Services Referral Form and an Adams 12 Community Resource specialist will contact you as soon as possible.

Volunteers are among the Five Star District's most valuable assets used to assist schools in providing the best possible education for each student. Volunteers help:

• to provide teachers with more time to work with students
• to enrich children's learning opportunities
• to provide individual attention to children who may need more one-on-one assistance than the classroom teacher is able to provide
• to promore a school/home/community partnership for quality education
• to assist teachers and support personnel in non-instructional tasks

Because student meals are free, no "charging" is allowed. This means a la carte purchases must be funded at the time of service either with money in the account or cash or check in hand.

Adams 12 Nutrition Services understands that there are many students in our schools with special dietary needs.  Nutrition Services wants to make you aware of our Special Dietary Needs procedures.  

Adams 12 WILL:

• Make meal modifications (substitutions) prescribed by a licensed physician to accommodate a dietary disability based on a medical statement completed and signed by a licensed physician (doctor of medicine or osteopathy).
• Make modifications (substitutions) for students as called for in their Section 504 or an IEP plans. 

Adams 12 WILL NOT:

• Make meal modifications (substitutions) prescribed by a medical authority due to a food allergy/intolerance or other medical condition that does not rise to the level of a disability. In this case, Adams 12 Nutrition Services WILL provide nutrition information regarding ingredients in menu items specific to the student’s allergy or intolerance to help parents and students make appropriate meal choices.
• Make substitutions for fluid cow’s milk due to a food allergy or intolerance or for other reasons.
