STEM Lab students learn about Paths with Purpose
- Collaborate
- Empower
🚴♂️🌲 2nd graders are diving into their "Paths with Purpose" PBL and learning firsthand about trail design, maintenance, and the importance of protecting the environment while enjoying the great outdoors! They've teamed up with amazing organizations like COMBA, Trail Preservation Alliance, Dovetail Trail Consulting, The City of Boulder, and Barr Lake to explore how we keep trails accessible for all users. 🌿
A huge shoutout to COMBA for their dedication to building world-class biking trails and inspiring future trail builders in the making! 🙌 And a special thanks to Joe Stone from Dovetail Trail Consulting for sharing his expertise on creating resilient, accessible trails for all users, including adaptive equipment riders. 🌟
The Trail Preservation Alliance also shared their passion for preserving motorized single-track trails and advocating for responsible trail use. 🌿 The students will wrap up their project with a trail cleanup at Barr Lake, learning the true value of stewardship. 💚
We’re so grateful for these partnerships—our future trail stewards are already making a difference!
