Well hello! My name is Allison Dopler and this will be my first year on the STEM LAB team. Originally from Southern California I decided I wanted to be an educator in 2nd grade. I fell in love with learning and love to share this passion with others. My husband and I live in Westminster, CO and have three boys (23, 20, 10yrs) and three dogs we share our lives with. We are also hosting an exchange student from Spain this year and look forward to incorporating his culture into our family lives. We spend our time as a family playing golf, attending soccer games, and playing boardgames.
I attended University California Riverside and completed my teaching degree at Metro State University. My Masters Degree was obtained in Educational Leadership and I continue to educate myself and regularly attend classes. My practicums and student teaching were completed at Legacy High School and I went on to teach Psychology and World History for 3 years at Collegiate Prep Academy in Denver. The last 4 years I taught 6th Grade Science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies at Hulstrom K-8 (a magnet school for gifted and advanced learners). I am excited to be at STEM LAB and look forward to being a part of an innovative team that looks for solutions to global problems through inquiry and creative methods for the benefit of all students.
