I am a Colorado native and very proud of it. I was a “computer geek” before going back to college and earning my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Elementary Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I also hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Denver. I taught 4th grade at STEM Lab for three years and I am now entering my second year as STEM Lab's Social-Emotinal Learning Specialist. This role will allow me to support teachers and scholars in the classroom both socially and academically.
I am a diehard Broncos fan and have had season tickets in my family for more than 35 years. During the summer, I enjoy backyard BBQs with my family and friends, camping and playing golf. My wife, Stefanie, who is also an Adams 12 teacher, and I have two daughters, 15-year-old Mia and 6-year-old Preslee. I look forwrd to making even more connections with STEM Lab's families and commuity this school year.
