I am proud to say that I am a Colorado native who loves everything about Colorado. I love that we can experience all four seasons and I try to take advantage outdoors as much as possible. On the weekends, with my wife and two young girls, we will most likely be up in mountains at Winter Park taking advantage of snowboarding/skiing and or biking. WP is our home away from home. My passion in life has been soccer which I have now played for 40 years. I also played and graduated from Regis University where I earned my teaching Degree. This is my 20th year teaching and I am so excited to work with all students.
One physical feature about me that I DON'T want you to be frightened about is my lovely BEARD. I tend to go a little crazy in the facial department. So why the beard? In the winter time it keeps my face warm and it is also the perfect sunscreen remedy for the 300 days a year of sunshine. Not to mention that when you look at my profile picture you can see that I am bald so the beard is my only method to style:)
I believe the foundation for learning starts with 4 E's:, EXPLORE, EFFORT, ENGAGED, EAGER. Students need to continue to EXPLORE areas of interests and passions to help guide their life. The more EFFORT a student puts in to everyday life, the better they will be no matter the skill or subject being taught. If a student is ENGAGED simply means they are learning. Finally, if they are EAGER, they will explore, be engaged and put forth the effort. I hope to see the 4E's everyday I see them in gym.
