I am a Colorado native and very proud of it. I was a “computer geek” before going back to college and earning my bachelor’s degree in human development and elementary education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I am currently attending the University of Denver where I am working on a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy studies. I will be entering my sixth year in the classroom and my third year at STEM Lab. I believe that being an educator is my calling and my personal philosophy focuses on teaching students how to think, not what to think. I am a diehard Broncos fan and have had season tickets in my family for more than 35 years. During the summer, I enjoy backyard BBQs with my family and friends, camping and playing golf. My wife, Stefanie, who is also an Adams 12 teacher, and I have two daughters, 13-year-old Mia and 4-year-old Preslee.
