
Janna Hansen started her teaching career in 2014 teaching fourth grade in Brighton. After a year there she was pleased to make the move to teach first grade at Coyote Ridge. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Santa Barbara California in Film Studies and has an endorsement in Elementary Education through the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she later also got her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Math and Science. She has enjoyed working with both Challenge Island engineering enrichment and CU’s Science Discovery.
Before becoming a teacher Janna tried her hand as an entrepreneur than as a general manager for local businesses in Boulder. She is dedicated to working with students to meet their academic goals. She is excited about the STEM model and is passionate about making learning engaging for everyone. She has a zeal for stories and enjoys reading when she is not otherwise taking her dogs Ollie and Margo for hikes, knitting, or spending time with family and friends.
